Wayside Customz questions and answers
Answers before you buy wheels, tires, suspension or accessories. For your exact vehicle and an installed quote, call 346-233-3333.
How do you check wheel and tire fitment?
We start with your year, make, model, trim and current suspension. Wheel diameter, width, offset, tire size, brake clearance and the way you use the vehicle all matter. Bring your current setup or send its details so we can review the complete combination before ordering.
What is the difference between a leveling kit and a lift kit?
A leveling kit addresses the difference in front and rear ride height. A lift kit raises the vehicle farther and can involve more suspension components. The right choice depends on the truck, intended tire size, driving needs and height you want—not just the number on the box.
Can I save by buying a complete package?
Save about $200 on wheel & tire packages, and up to $1,000–$1,500 on bigger multi-item builds, compared with buying the same items separately. Ask for an itemized quote for your particular combination.
Is financing available?
Financing up to $7,500*. Wayside Customz is not the lender. *Approval amounts vary by lender and applicant and are subject to each lender’s approval. Not all applicants qualify. See lender details and terms on our Financing page.
What does the installation warranty cover?
Wayside offers a 1-year labor warranty on our installation work. Keep your receipt. Alignment is required within 7 days at another shop, and tires must be rotated every 3,000 miles. Ask us to explain the requirements for your work before installation; manufacturer coverage is separate. Read our warranty page for the full terms.
Do you perform alignments, tire repairs or sell used tires?
No. Wayside does not perform alignments or tire repairs and does not sell used tires. Arrange any required alignment with another shop. We sell new tires and can help plan a wheel-and-tire package.
Do you sell used wheels?
Yes—ask about available used wheels. Selection changes, so confirm the size, finish, condition and fit for your vehicle with the shop. Used wheels are separate from tires; we do not sell used tires.
Can I discuss my build in Spanish?
Sí, hablamos español. Call or visit the shop to discuss your vehicle, the changes you want, the quote and installation details in Spanish.
Where is the shop, and what are your hours?
Visit Wayside Customz at 10960 East Fwy, Houston, TX 77029. Hours are Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–7 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM–5 PM. Call 346-233-3333 for directions or to confirm a visit around a holiday.
How do I schedule installation?
Call 346-233-3333 or use the build planner to tell us your vehicle and the work you want. We confirm the selected parts, quote and current scheduling with you. A planner submission is a request, not a confirmed appointment.
Which wheel and tire brands can I ask about?
Our authorized dealer selection includes American Force, Azad, Ferrada, Forgiato and Lexani wheels, along with Nitto, Toyo, Michelin, Nexen and other active tire brands. Browse the wheel and tire directories, then ask us to confirm the exact product for your vehicle.
Which suspension and wrap brands do you carry?
Suspension choices include BDS, Belltech, ReadyLift, Rough Country, Ridetech and IHC. Wrap brands include 3M, Avery Dennison, ORAFOL/Oracal and Inozetek. Brand availability does not mean every product fits every vehicle; we review the application before ordering.
Do you work on cars and luxury SUVs as well as trucks?
Yes. Trucks are a major part of our work, alongside performance cars and luxury vehicles. Tell us about your Chevrolet, GMC, Ram or Ford truck, Mopar, Mercedes-Benz, BMW or Range Rover so we can discuss the wheels, tires, suspension or appearance changes you want.
What should I bring to a build consultation?
Bring your vehicle details, current wheel and tire sizes if known, and photos of the look you want. Tell us about towing, commuting, road conditions and any existing modifications. Those details help us discuss practical choices rather than guess from a photograph.
What is the difference between a bed cover and a camper shell?
A bed cover closes over the top of the truck bed. A camper shell, also called a truck topper or truck cap, creates an enclosed space above the bed rails. The choice depends on cargo height and how you access the bed. Ask us to confirm options for your pickup and bed length.
