A smaller change with a clear purpose

Common leveling changes fall around 1.5 to 3 inches, depending on the vehicle and system. Options can include spacers, replacement springs or height-adjustable strut assemblies. Those approaches differ in parts, installation and ride characteristics. Choose based on your truck and expectations, not simply the largest advertised adjustment.

Measure what you want to change before buying. Look at the truck on level ground, and consider the load it normally carries. Factory rake helps account for weight added at the rear. A leveling project is a good time to discuss wheel and tire proportions. A slightly taller tire can change the look substantially without a dramatic suspension build. Will 35-inch tires fit with a leveling kit?

Not on every truck. Wheel width, offset, tire width, trim and existing suspension all matter. Give us the exact combination before ordering tires around a leveling-kit label.

Is leveling the same as lifting?

Leveling primarily changes the front-to-rear stance. A larger suspension lift generally changes overall ride height and may require a more extensive system. Compare both if you want a substantial height increase.

Will the ride change?

The result depends on the leveling method, shocks or struts, tires and truck. Tell us whether your priority is everyday comfort, appearance or a broader suspension upgrade.

What does it cost and when can it be done?
